GreenFILE "Multidisciplinary by nature, GreenFILE draws on the connections between the environment and a variety of disciplines such as agriculture, education, law, health and technology. National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service The National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service is managed by the National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT). Their web site provides information and other technical assistance to farmers, ranchers, Extension agents, educators, and others involved in sustainable agriculture in the United States. It includes news, funding opportunities and publications on production and marketing practices.
Catalog of U.S. Government Publications The CGP is the finding tool for federal publications that includes descriptive records for historical and current publications and provides direct links to those that are available online. Users can search by authoring agency, title, subject, and general key word, or click on "Advanced Search" for more options. Useful for identifying government documents not owned by Middlebury (and thus not in Midcat) but available via interlibrary loan. 1976 - present.

NTIS (National Technical Information Service) Index of Government-sponsored technical reports. The database is free, but there is a charge for the reports. It's possible some may be available via Interlibrary Loan or you can check with a librarian to see if the library could purchase a copy for our collection.
Offshore Energy & Minerals Management Data and information from the U.S. government about its management of offshore mineral resources in the Gulf of Mexico, Pacific and Alaska. Includes data on the percentage and monthly production volumes of oil and gas that the Federal OCS contributes to the U.S. total, plus information on topics such as alternative energy programs, coastal impact, environmental assessment and monitoring and more.
Science Accelerator Searches resources made available by the Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI), U.S. Department of Energy. Smaller in scope than, but not necessarily replicated in, Science.gov.
Science.gov Selective coverage, as far back as 1948. Science.gov is a search engine for government science information. It allows you to search the contents of web sites from the Dept of Agriculture, Dept of Commerce, Dept of Defense, Dept of Education, Dept of Energy, Dept of Health and Human Services, Dept of Interior, Environmental Protection Agency, Library of Congress, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, National Science Foundation, and the US Government Printing Office. Vermont Agency of Natural Resources The Vermont Agency of Natural Resources is responsible for protecting and improving the health of Vermont’s people and ecosystems and promoting the sustainable use of Vermont’s natural resources.
