SocINDEX Sociology research database encompassing the broad spectrum of sociological study. It features abstracts for more than 720 "core" coverage journals dating as far back as 1895, data mined from more than 530 "priority" coverage journals as well as from over 2,800 "selective" coverage journals, and extensive indexing for books/monographs, conference papers, and other content sources.

Ethnic News Watch A full-text collection in English and Spanish of the newspapers, magazines, and journals of the U.S. ethnic, minority, and native press from the mid 1980s to present.
Index Islamicus Indexes literature on Islam, the Middle East and the Muslim world. Over 3,000 journals are monitored for inclusion in the database, together with conference proceedings, monographs, multi-authored works and book reviews. Journals and books are indexed down to the article and chapter level. 1906 - present.

GenderStats GenderStats (from The World Bank Group) is an electronic database of gender statistics and indicators. It offers statistical and other data in modules on several subjects. The data in each module is presented in ready-to-use format. Users have the option of saving the country views in Excel (or another spreadsheet software) to customize them for their own reports.
ICPSR The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) provides access to a large archive of social science data files for use with statistical software, such as SAS or SPSS. Includes some public opinion polls. A Data Use Tutorial is available.

US Census - Historical Census Browser Access to the decennial U.S. Census of Population and Housing data from 1790 - 1960, down to the county level. The available data differ somewhat from decade to decade, according to what was collected in the census and the items chosen for transcription to electronic form. Provided by the University of Virginia using data from ICPSR.
